Malacca Trip

This not really a trip for the photography purpose but I took the opportunity to snap some photos as good memories for the Malacca trip.=) We were celebrating a buddy's birthday eventually. =)

Bon Odori

I was checking out my old photos posted on my blog and found out I missed out this album. So I posted them now . This was a Bon Odori festival 2010 July. Every year, they will have this event held during the month of July. Bon Odori means Bon dance which is a dance performed during the Obon which originally a Nenbutsu folk dance welcoming the spiritis of the dead. The style of celebrating the festival are different in many way from different regions. (Source from wikipedia)

It was a very crowded event with many Japanese products selling there and able to have a slice of a Japanese culture.

Bangkok Trip Part Two

My Bangkok trip was fun and was immersed in a environment full with colourful cultural temples and great shopping apparels with valuable, affordable prices.And get to feel the sense of heavily prioritize appearances among the younger adults. Its a crowded place full with different people coming from different countries.

Updating to the readers/ viewers although this is not completed yet. 

Still got some under editing but due to new semester started , ya still a student. This project has been a very very long kept almost a year from the very rough sketch of the design of the mask till today. It was hard for me to find a model and measure the head well. But problems come in when i took this project a little too long for finding makeup artist and hair stylist who willing to do this for free, for art and for port folio only and ended up i lost booking the actual model with the correct size of the face to fits the mask. As a student and unknown person like me, how can i afford a makeup artist or hairstylist by paying them? Luckily, there's generous friends, or kind people still can be found. 

So, I ended up finding my own sister to do the photoshoot.

Convocation of Kamarul

I was invited to be photographer for my friend to attend his convocation. Of course I am happy for him too. =) I wish i can graduate soon with everything passing smoothly haha. I am happy to try out my new 50mm micro lens with  aperture value can down to  f 1.8. But through out this whole photo shoot session, not all are just using one lens, but two lens, the other one is kit lens.

I still having problems dealing monitor color calibration. I can see my photos in other monitors look either very pale or bright, or very dark n vibrant. Maybe its time to invest a good calibrator or more accurate color monitor like MAC which i still choose not to buy, its expensive to me as a student.

Anyway, hope you all enjoy viewing these photos =) 

Wedding Dinner of Jocelyn + Wai Keong

its my sister's wedding dinner! Yup, she is married now. I am happy for her as long as she is happy =). I took some photos for her and also for myself on that day although I am not the official photographer. It was challenging for me as I do not have upgraded flash light and worry my flash light will create hard light and indoor usually will get noise. So, I ended up doing heavy editing to reduce the noise in the photos =).

I only post some selected photos here only because of copyright and permissions right of the people captured in the photo.  Hope you all enjoy and do like my photos.

Free individual outdoor/indoor photoshoot session by me, Jason Lim starting from October.  Every month I will be taking 2 person individual photoshoots. 

People who are interested and have their own idea or theme of the photoshoot must self provide accessories, clothes and make up.

Conceptual portrait photoshoots and location suggested by you must provide self provide transport or map guidelines to photographer unless is within Cyberjaya, Puchong, Sunway, Old Klang Road and Bukit Jalil.

Volunteers who willing to be photographed with photographer's own concept or idea, some accessories may be contributed by photographer.

It will be half day photoshoot session. 

Chosen photos will be delivered to you after 7 working days (around 30-40 photos will be chosen ones.)

Daniel + Yvonne Wedding Dinner 15th May 2011

I have been busy and not active in the blog lately. Today only got the time to post update here. My friend invited me to attend his friend's wedding dinner which is Yvonne. =) Its my first time attending someone's wedding dinner who I am not very close to but it is a good chance for me to practice my photography skill as well. =)
